No. Modient Drive does not charge a monthly tracker plan.
That does not always mean there are no future costs at all. Some trackers require a compatible SIM card, mobile data, carrier service, roaming, or future app or platform renewal. These costs depend on the product, SIM provider, country, network, and application provider.
The key difference is that you are not locked into a Modient monthly tracker contract.
Many GPS trackers need a compatible SIM card with mobile data so they can send location information to the supported app or platform.
Unless the product page clearly says a SIM card is included, you should assume you need to supply your own compatible SIM and pay any related carrier, data, activation, roaming, or plan charges.
This is part of how Modient Drive helps avoid a locked in monthly tracker plan. You are not forced into our SIM plan, but you do need to make sure the SIM you choose is compatible.

JimiIoT is a large international IoT company. Its TrackSolid Pro platform supports millions of connected devices across many countries, which gives customers a more established app experience than a small unknown tracking platform.
In most cases, Modient Drive prepays app access as part of the product purchase, generally for around 10 years. This means you can usually get started without paying Modient Drive a monthly app subscription.
The app is not owned or managed by Modient Drive. TrackSolid Pro, JimiIoT, app uptime, platform features, renewals, and long term service availability are controlled by the third party app provider. Always check the product page for the app access included with your specific tracker.
